The Reencle Prime food composter ferments kitchen waste by adding microorganisms within 24 hours. A lid on the top of the device opens automatically when approached, thanks to an integrated optical sensor, allowing for contact-free filling. The width of the opening is designed to accommodate standard plate sizes, and the inside of the bin is illuminated for easy viewing of the fill level. The composter is designed with gently rounded edges and blends discreetly into the kitchen with its minimalist appearance and black or white finish. The jury liked the hygienic operating concept as well as the unobtrusive design of the appliance.
