“The B111B00 stool has an appealing overall aesthetic, thanks to its geometric design language,” said the jury. “It is also extremely comfortable and motivates users to be active while seated.” The design for both the seating surface and the base was inspired by a superellipse, which is a symbiosis of elliptical and rectangular shapes. The balanced contours give the motion stool a clean-cut appearance while emphasising its stability. It can rotate or sway to any side and offers support when sitting or standing. With the help of subtle, recessed handles on the underside of the seat shell, this ergonomic stool can be positioned with ease.
