Last chance for registration: Submission phase of the Red Dot Award: Design Concept runs until 15 May 2020
Participating in the Red Dot Award offers the possibility to an independent endorsement of design excellence and to indicate one’s success. Competing for a Red Dot is a highly effective way to leverage on an independent group of design experts to provide unbiased evaluation of new concepts or innovations.
“It’s always a risk to launch a new product, every design process is full of risks,” says Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot, “That’s why designers and companies should check their ideas before they invest into these.“
Impartiality, Expertise and Professionalism
With an expert eye for details, international specialists serve as a fair, recognised, and indisputable jury. This makes the Red Dot Award: Design Concept a benchmark for high quality and design excellence.
The entries are presented to the jury without names, picture or logos of the designers. Every juror pledges to the “Code of Honour” and thereby is excluded from taking part in the competition. In addition, to avoid conflicts of interest, the jurors may not be employees of the manufacturing industry. This ensures the highest degree of objectivity when selecting the winning designs.
Late submission phase ends on 15 May 2020
Only entries submitted at the early and standard submission periods qualify for prejudging. The jury will then be presented the first round of entries to make the selection for final judging. This is also the last chance to compete in this year’s Red Dot Award: Design Concept and to communicate one’s design and innovative competency.
