Red Dot Award: Product Design - These are the Winners’ Benefits (Part 1/4)
The registration for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016 is on. Winning the Red Dot opens the doors for manufacturers and designers to a worldwide network and offers exclusive options for communicating their success. The winners’ benefits are amongst others the usage of the Red Dot label and far-reaching PR measures.
The winner label
Awarding a product with the Red Dot always marks the beginning of a whole range of PR and marketing measures. Red Dot’s activities are flanked by the multifaceted media and advertising activities of the prize winners, who use the famous Red Dot prominently as a seal of quality – an advantage reserved exclusively for competition winners. Thanks to its striking appearance alone, using the internationally recognised and wellrespected label generates the most attention possible for any product bearing the Red Dot seal.
Whether it is used as a stamp on the packaging or in high-quality advertising campaigns – a high level of recognition is guaranteed. People encounter the Red Dot in TV adverts and on websites as well as in trade magazines, product brochures and catalogues. Because of its international reputation, the renowned Red Dot label contributes to raising the level of awareness of a product immensely and ensuring that a brand is associated with excellent design quality in the long term.
On 30 March 2016, the Red Dot communications department will distribute an international press release on the main results and trends of the competition that will receive major media attention. In addition, journalists from all around the world will receive information and pictures of award-winning products from their subject areas throughout the year. Individual media requests regarding the award winners will be answered directly and in an uncomplicated way. The Red Dot channels keep tens of thousands of companies, designers and design fans up to date.
Additionally, winners can send out a press release regarding their successes: In March, a template will be available for download on myreddot.de, which laureates can adapt to their product or corporate identity. Laureates are of course free to use their own press texts and layouts. Laureates of the Red Dot: Best of the Best receive free international distribution of one press release via the Red Dot partner v2com newswire.
Distinguished media partnerships enhance public relations work: In addition to editorial coverage, the German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche offers the winners advertising space at attractive rates. The partners domus and H.O.M.E. also ensure exciting publications. Internationally the design competition works closely with ArchiExpo, Design42Day, Yanko Design, BranD, and the Indesign Media Group among others.
