This book on water supply research focuses on the town of Poreč, Croatia, and follows an environmentally friendly design concept. Since the topic itself sheds light on the history of water supply and on the waste of such a precious resource, the aim of water con-servation was also taken up in the design. By choosing recyclable paper and exploring the possibilities for using less water in printing, the production saved 7,355 litres of the valuable commodity. Instead of using a colour overprint, the book title is impressed into the white cover. Moreover, the book does not use any additional graphic elements and conveys the message in its core – by simply saving water.
