The task of the new corporate website of Saxon-based watch manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne was to create a digital stage for the drive for precision in analogue watch design. The guiding principle in the design was that nothing whatsoever should distract from the sole focus of attention, timepieces, which are among the best in the world. The minimalist impression of the home page is characteristic of the aesthetic standards displayed by the entire website. The spacious design and well-balanced interaction not only make the watches take centre stage, they also facilitate the introduction of the inside of the watches and follow up on the stories of their manufacturing. Be it on a desktop PC, tablet or smartphone, the featured images, photos and short video clips always take up the whole browser window. Complemented by text set underneath them and backed up by an overall clear and elegant design, they present a distinctive narrative of the history and quality of these timepieces.
