Airborne Tire

Zurück Download

Airborne Tire is a smart electric tyre system inspired by the magnetic levitation train system. Airborne is structurally designed to use a magnetic field, which will improve suspension performance and comfort during UAM takeoff and landing. It can also be driven on the road thanks to its self- rotating wheels. There are currently two types of urban drone taxis: the tyre-and-wheel type and the skid type. These necessitate the use of a separate device for ground driving and stability issues. Airborne was designed to overcome these constraints. Using the repulsive and propulsive forces between the electrodes, the wheels can rotate independently, allowing for perfect vertical takeoff and landing via double maglev suspension. It is also environmentally friendly and cost-effective because the damaged parts can be individually replaced using a simple structural design that does not require a separate motor.
