AM30 is a flexible and ergonomic interior architecture for an ambulance. This interior concept is designed such that it will fit within the existing dimensions of ambulances most commonly used in Scandinavia today. The opportunity for semi-autonomous drive mode is also explored – it considers and enables the possibility of both paramedics being required in the treatment of patients in life-threatening situations, while the ambulance finds its way back to the hospital without a driver The new optimised interior offers an unseen level of flexibility and possibilities to adjust and re-arrange the care environment, depending on the needs of patients and paramedics. The positioning of the stretcher in the ambulance can be switched, depending on the side of the patient that demands attention and care. The paramedics have three flexible seats to choose from, making it possible to attend to any part of the patient’s body and at the same time, reach for medical equipment without unbuckling the seat belt.
