DFB Lap of Honour
After Germany had won the FIFA World Cup in 2014, the German Football Association celebrated the victory with a tour of Germany called “Lap of Honour”. The microsite accompanying the event featured a low-poly style of hexagons inspired by the pattern on the football. On the website, visitors were encouraged to create an individual vehicle choosing from two million variations in order to follow the world cup trophy on a digital fan parade. Thus, a virtual papercraft world, which had a clean but playful look, mutated into a lively experience.
