This crime thriller short-story tells the reader about a Sicilian in New York in the 1920s. Besides the illustrations, the experimental use of light is one of the key design elements. The Mafia is a shadow society, and likewise, the main character is also a figure that exists in the shadows. All objects of the book were illustrated by hand, placed in an extreme perspective and then photographed. The interplay of light and unusual perspectives as well as the material characteristics of the paper create a consistent and captivating atmosphere.
