Eine formale und grafische Analyse der Geschäfts- und Finanzberichte aus den DAX-notierten Unternehmen im Jahr 2008 nach der Publizitätspflicht für Kapitalgesellschaften des deutschen Handelsgesetzbuches (HGB)

This work is based on the financial and business reports of the most important German companies, the 30 DAX-listed public limited companies. All reports have been analysed for formal and graphic aspects, while consciously excluding any content-related aspects. The result is a comprehensive set of data on the use of images, graphics, text and formats, which was visualised by concise and easy-to-understand information graphics. The software tool Processing was partly used to create effective generative designs. The result was a set of innovative, self-contained graphics, which allowed all 30 reports to be comparable and conclusions to be drawn with regard to the quantity and quality of different design elements.
