Back

Focusing on the numbers that players wear on the back of their jerseys, these posters simulate the visual identity of all 16 national teams in the 2012 European Football Championship. In order to identify each national team separately, both the typography and the colours are varied. The numbers themselves are shown from different angles to reflect the dynamics of football, while the conditions on the field are insinuated by the crumpled, wet or dirty look of the jerseys. A minimum of visual clues suffices to communicate the football experience to a broad audience.
