FFATE

FFATE is a high-performance prosthetic leg designed for below-knee amputees who are engaged in sports. While most prosthetics only provide basic mobility, Ffate supports active movement through boosted comfort, adaptability, and performance. FFATE incorporates an external exoskeleton shaped to follow the natural contours of a leg, resulting in a strong and dynamic appearance. A core feature is that it uses advanced 3D printing to generate a flexible, fibre-like inner layer that replicates the user's muscle structure. Simulating natural muscle movement, this structure stretches with movement, absorbs impact, and helps users adapt to the new prosthetic quickly. FFATE includes a modular foot system that allows users to switch attachments depending on the sport or activity. The design offers material and colour options, allowing users to showcase their personal style and identity. FFATE transforms how amputees move, feel, and perform, enabling confidence, capability, and self-expression through design.
