In a fish farming business, it takes considerable manpower to supply the feed, inspect fish ponds and control the feed quantity. Fisher Maid provides a feeding system that helps fishermen minimise their workload. This feeding system can be installed on the pond slope, eradicating the need for fishermen to carry large and heavy feed bags to the site of feeding. Furthermore, by using the principle of elasticity and weight, the body of Fisher Maid lifts up and down with the weight of feed, thus allowing fishers to determine the current feed volume from afar. When the feed is not eaten by fish, they turn into ammonia which deteriorates water quality – something that the fishermen would want to avoid. This prompted a feed controller to be designed with a vibration sensor. This sensor monitors how much the group of fish is eating and automatically adjusts the feed weight accordingly. The fishermen do not even need to calculate and adjust the feeding manually.
