For the “Frozen” project, letters on paper and image clippings were frozen in ice cubes. The words “preserved” in ice prompt the viewer to pause and consciously engage with the monochrome objects. The piece thus fosters a contemplative attitude, thanks to which viewers perceive the surrounding world more accurately and consider their own role within it. The poetry and memento mori presented here are shown as contrasting concepts to the quick satisfaction of needs in current advertising and graphic design.
