Futurelight Camper

Futurelight Camper is the future of protection from the elements. The lightweight camper was created and designed for The North Face, to showcase a new fabric innovation called Futurelight, which uses nanospinning technology to create the world’s most advanced, breathable, waterproof material. Futurelight Camper has a fabric outer shell, consisting of a flexible material stretched over a geodesic dome, to demonstrate the potential uses of the Futurelight fabric beyond just apparel. The nanospinning process creates nano-sized holes, allowing for incredible porosity while still maintaining total waterproofness, letting air move through the material and provide more venting than ever before. The dome is built on a carbon fibre frame with two airless wheels, providing a comfortable cave for two people. It is equipped with the camping essentials such as a bed and table, while still providing the feeling of free space due to its dome structure.
