In pigeon racing, scientific training is imperative for better performance; training a pigeon in familiar routes and linear flight is key to faster flight. G-Pin allows the flying route and strategies to be adjusted based on analysed data. It determines accurate positioning, altitude, flight speed, path data – all via its inbuilt GPS, barometer and acceleration sensor. Its physical form is inspired by the curve of a pigeon’s flying feet, which provides minimal resistance and more upward force. With batteries, LDS and an antenna design, the weight of G-PIN is optimised at 5 grams.
