Honda eVTOL

Honda eVTOL will become a mobility product that increases the value of mobility for people. By connecting a variety of mobility modes from ground-based products (such as cars and motorcycles) to air-based mobility, it will significantly reduce travel time and create comfortable mobility experiences. Honda Jet is one means of connecting mobility on the ground and in the skies, but eVTOL makes mobility in the skies more accessible, by using a layer closer to the ground to eliminate the need for runways and other large facilities and to provide an easier mode of mobility in the air. Honda envisions a future in which people can live wherever they want and are not bound to specific work locations. It aims to create a mobility ecosystem that connects not only Honda products but also public transport systems. By integrating mobility modes with reservation systems, infrastructure, flight operation and air traffic control systems, it offers solutions such as the shortest routes seamlessly linking mobility products and services on the ground and in the skies. HONDA eVTOL prioritises safety, comfort, and range. Aside from developing the safest option in mobility development, Honda aims to achieve a quiet, low-vibration experience through electrification, as well as provide a comfortable cabin space and travel time. In addition, Honda believes that an eVTOL range of around 400 km is necessary to deliver its 3D mobility service. To achieve this range, a hybrid eVTOL powered by gas turbine hybrid power is used rather than an all-electric eVTOL powered solely by batteries. Various long-range services are possible by utilising aircraft engine technologies, F1 ultra-high rpm generator technologies, and hybrid automobile technologies.
