Created for a special edition that is limited to 1,615 bottles of an exceptional Douro DOC wine, this packaging design is inspired by the motto “Honore et Labore” (honour and work) coined by Constantino de Almeida, founder of the Quinta do Crasto estate in Portugal. It pays homage to everyone who has invested in cultivating the vineyards since 1615. The edition is produced in Valchromat that reminds of the “schist”, a typical rock of the Douro soil. On the inside, the package houses a sample of Quinta do Crasto’s book “Quinta do Crasto – A story that began a long time ago (1615–2018)” and a magnum bottle (1.5 litres) of the wine. The bottle label features a frame and lines in relief illustrating the geography and terraces of Douro.
