Kaathfula is Assamese for “mushroom” (Assamese is a language spoken primarily in the Indian state of Assam). Its design takes inspiration from imagining how it would feel to sit on a large mushroom. Its shape, taken from the natural shape of the mushroom, is ergonomic and poetic. Aesthetically, it fits seamlessly into various interior settings. Individual layers of foam are joined together by thin metal rods within the chair. The density and flexibility of EVA foam help to create a perfectly ergonomic and dynamic silhouette.
