This illustrated book tells the story of interior design from the early years of the automobile up to the present day using the Mercedes-Benz brand as an example. Besides historical photographs, the book also shows images of the SL sports car, which are presented in three dimensions. Another special feature results from the latest print finishing methods: structure coatings simulate a haptic effect, so that ornamental leather seams as well as aluminium and wood trim can be tangibly experienced. Finally, interior design as an advertising subject is analysed.
