The Microsoft Cinema @ Cebit 2011 consisted of 11 individual presentations. Inspired by the user interface of the Windows Phone 7, this touchscreen implemented a novel concept: viewing the presentation display as an endless space of information – the window into the “cloud”. The cinematic screen turned into this window while simultaneously serving as a touchscreen. The formal language and functionalities of the Windows Phone 7 were integrated and adapted, with its look and feel as well as its usability applied to the cinema.
