This microsite provides two different visualisations of information concerning the topic of migration: one featuring a series of simple charts based on data taken from the 2011 UK census, the other one focusing on seven years of news coverage. The visualisations and descriptive texts were deliberately kept simple while staying true to evidence-based data. This simplicity facilitates putting the focus on changes over time and differentiation between sources. The result is an interactive user experience, moving away from conventional reports towards driving content and providing more sustainability in communicating the institute’s independent research in support of a balanced discussion.
