Mimot’s design intent is to present a smart robot vacuum cleaner with Eastern aesthetics. To achieve this, the robot’s design takes its cue from large pebbles that you would find in a Chinese garden. In order to show the intelligence of the robot cleaner, it is integrated with emotional lighting and AUI to achieve an emotional design aesthetic. The robot’s body shape, intelligent light indicator, sound effects and functions create an overall user experience that is highly unconventional but approachable.
Via smart connections to mobile phones and remote controllers, the robot is easily controlled or optimised regardless of the environment it is working in. Its lighting effects are strictly reserved for communicating functions, thereby keeping the interface simple and functional. Through the indicator light colours and light motion, users receive information and feedback related to daily cleaning in real-time
The AUI design is also kept strictly connected to the lighting effects. Instead of using human voice broadcasting, a clear and pleasant sound effect would sound. This is the most intuitive way to relay the necessary information while cutting down the cost. The customised application and innovative remote are designed for improving its service design. Meanwhile, Mimot’s multi-channels communicator can send feedback and activate the remote control via its camera function. This exploration on AI visual recognition and scenario preprograming maintains a clean environment by sending the users regular reminders and notifications about the little details of their daily environments.
