In December 2014, the new National Military Museum (NMM) opened its doors in Soesterberg, Netherlands. The museum offers visitors a glimpse into the typically closed world of defence, an idea that was incorporated into the new visual identity. The logo is tough yet open, reflecting the steadfastness of defence, in combination with the friendliness of the museum. Following this new design, the logos of all museum branches were also updated accordingly. Each with its own distinctive colour and historic symbolism, they now form a consistent visual family.
