The user interface of the Neo-Melon music player was designed with the aim of being easy to understand and providing an emotionally fulfilling experience. Bright lime was used as the main theme colour of Neo-Melon, matching Melon’s corporate design. Formerly overcrowded submenus and functions were filtered out and placed under “Music” and “Video” categories simply by the order of highest frequency of use. Furthermore, images of vinyl records (LPs) were added for a richer metaphor of Melon’s identity.
