For the Reformation Jubilee 2017 this revision of Luther’s bible translation was issued in cooperation with the Foundation Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft. The bible itself has an altogether classical and traditional appearance. It attracts attention, however, through the individual designs of the decorative slipcase editions, created by a number of well-known personalities (Janosch, Jürgen Klopp, Klaus Meine/Scorpions, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Joe Hennig/MAJO Brothers, Peter Gaymann; Harald Glööckler, Angelika Falk/Dieter Falk, Margot Käßmann, Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, Randi Bubat/Wolfgang Dauner, Uschi Glas). The entire concept comprises 12 special edition cases. Each case makes a reference to a biblical quotation. Apart from a church audience, the special appearance is also aimed at readers unfamiliar with the bible.
