PUZZLE HOBE | Red Dot Design Award

Back Download

Hobe is the old name of Tamsui, a district in the north of Taiwan. Due to the good geographical situation of the harbour, the place attracted many people who settled there and constructed a number of buildings. This artistic work commemorates that. In the manner of a jigsaw puzzle, simple building blocks made of wood can be set together to create historical buildings. Their individual parts are kept in a handmade paper package, the design of which is intentionally simple. The name of the work is an eye-catcher which takes the form of a large, coloured exclamation mark.
