The integrated campaign of Berliner Stadtreinigung (City Cleaning Department Berlin) encourages residents to separate their waste. The headline challenges the observer to “separate yourself from the throwaway society”. The high-impact series of motifs shows people in the midst of mountains of waste. In the course of the campaign, the motif series was expanded and its content shifted to how to separate waste correctly. In addition to the passers-by in the streets of Berlin, in shopping centres, in underground and suburban railway stations, the waste reduction and separation images reached even more people by advertising in social media.
