In the Netherlands, San Mauro is well established as a high-quality brand of Italian olive oil. Currently expanding into the segment of luxury foods, this special packaging was developed for new products. The task was to make the quality and luxurious nature visible, as well as the Italian look and feel of the branding. Inspired by the two main ingredients of the products, artichokes and olive oil, the packaging strategy is based on the collaboration of two separate parts that perfectly fit together. Along with a glass jar, a slide-on box symbolises the symmetry between the ingredients. The packaging design achieves an appealing aesthetic, which gives the product further added value.
