This work analyses the concept of Easy-to-Read Language, which gives people who cannot sufficiently read or write a possible access to the world of writing. It examines its applicability in the field of journalism and illustrates the conditions which appear necessary as a basis for a target group oriented, graphic design. The publication has, in correspondence with the subject, a reader-friendly layout. The individual text blocks are adapted to the length of their content in order to avoid line break based reading difficulties. For an easy read, the font Neue Frutiger 1450 is used.
