Seoul Zoo

The Seoul Zoo ranks among the ten largest zoos in the world and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2009. According to its vision of being both an ecological zoo and a first-class theme park for the 21st century, the park’s visual identity was optimised and an entire communication system created. In order to portray the zoo as a place where nature and humans grow together, the slogan “The Growing Planet” was developed. The zoo’s logo shows the stylised face of a tiger, a familiar animal from ancient Korean fairy tales and traditional folk paintings.
