Label Design

Sotka

Back

With its polygraphic print, the label design of this vodka is a reinterpretation of the front side of a Soviet one-hundred-rouble note: Instead of the hammer and sickle emblem, the complex label features an illustration of the company headquarters. In addition, logo and product name are artfully integrated. Only the numerals are, apart from colour adjustments, virtually identical to the original, and allude to the particular meaning of the word “sotka” (hundred). Since in Soviet times, the average monthly salary of a skilled engineer was about a hundred roubles.
