Low-carbon life is the future of daily commute, and Stereo Bicycle Parking is designed for the future of bicycle-based urban transportation system. More people in the future will opt to ride the bike because it is more sustainable, but this also means that there will be an rising need for standardised bicycle parking systems.
Stereo Bicycle Parking allows bicycles to be parked and stacked along a vertical parking rod, thus maximising the use of urban spaces. This vertical parking system is not only convenient for locating bicycles, but it also creates a new urban micro-landscape. This parking system can be distributed along key transportation nodes. Each parking frame has 3 to 7 layers of parking equipment, and each layer provides parking for 6 bicycles.
To use a parking system, simply push the bicycle into the parking frame. When the lock equipment detects the bike, a green indication light turns on, suggesting that the operation is correct and the bike is securely locked. The safety baffle for the front wheels then stops rising, and the bicycle is gradually lifted up to rest along the vertical. To unload a bicycle, the entire process is mechanically reversed. For convenience, the system also allows the use of ID cards to access the parking belts through an electronic control system.
