Stir-Fried Salt

The focus of this work is on salt, a condiment the crystals of which take the shape of a pyramid. The easy-to-open packaging, made of moisture-resistant paper, reflects this shape. In the gift box, which, among other things, also includes a spoon, the salt is traditionally stored in a bamboo container. All packaging elements feature colour illustrations which seem as if they were hand-painted. They are inspired by the elaborate production process of this ingredient – one scene, for example, shows a worker under a roof of leaves stirring the salt in a pan.
