Many people are unaware that Taiwan produces numerous colourful minerals. This project aims to draw attention to local mineral resources by introducing a special paint made from mineral substances. The paint comes with specially designed plates which reflect the structure of the minerals through hexagonal or octagonal shapes. The accompanying book explains the characteristics of each stone, while lovingly implemented illustrations visualise the background of the minerals. By using a partly informal, painterly style, the imagery lends the publication a personal touch.
