This work seeks to convey that cultural diversity is fruitfully reflected in Taiwanese cuisine. An illustration of handmade flair awakens curiosity for Taiwan’s constantly evolving food culture. The lines of the motifs are inspired by the decoration of ancient tableware, yet deconstructed to reflect the inventive character of the dishes. In terms of colour, the design focuses on coral pink, effectively contrasted by green. By using screen printing technique, in which ink is applied layer by layer, the illustration also refers to the stacked creations of classical Taiwanese cuisine.
