“Taste of Life” is a collection of gourmet essays. In them, the author presents homemade, local specialities and lesser-known recipes. The design of the essays was inspired by traditional Chinese book design. This marks an important transition phase in the art of bookbinding, which over time moved away from traditional rules and became more modern. In the same way, tradition and modernity also go hand in hand in the design of the essay collection. The alternating horizontal and vertical layout looks contemporary, while the traditional typography gives the work its retro appearance.
