The Growth – the world after Chernobyl and Fukushima
Created one year after the nuclear disaster of Fukushima, this poster deals with the topic of growth and calls into question the belief in unconditional expansion. Graphic elements in the form of “radiating circles” that are immersed in the sea to varying degrees are used to symbolise growth. At the same time, they serve as a reminder that growth is also important in nature. Whereas economic growth is connoted positively, the problems of environmental damage and the destructive exploitation of nature nevertheless also grow.
