The design of the Pirates Rum packaging aimed to challenge the printing process by using 15 printing units on a new press to create an extraordinary spirits label with a single printing line. The label shows four different hot-stamped colours, one cold effect, three kinds of printing (digital, offset, silk screen), as well as micro-embossing, die-cutting, two overlapping layers and varnishing. On the background, various marine elements are highlighted by a cold-transferred holographic effect. The iridescent design glows and creates a contrast with the rum inside, making all of the elements shine like rays of light on the sea.
