TOTAL STAHL

The “Total Stahl” (Total Steel) exhibition catalogue presents the results of a steel jewellery competition. The jewellery and tools of the four prize-winners and other people involved are shown, supplemented by the works of established artists. The catalogue thus creates a multifaceted picture of the applied-metal handicraft. The book’s design concept aims to do justice to the unique works of art on paper. In line with the subject, the cover is configured in grey, with a clear design continued inside the catalogue – highlighting both the hardness of the material and the poetic aspect of the handicraft. To achieve this, hot-foil stamping and elaborate typography, among other techniques, are employed.
