Uproot is a new wine label from California whose unconventional packaging design breaks new ground. In close collaboration with the two winegrowers from New York, a graphic system was developed that visualises each wine’s unique flavour profile in a surprising manner. Each wine is identified by a unique colour bar composed of tonal representations of the wine’s key flavour notes. These colour bars on the bottles are divided into various colour blocks: red tones inform about the flavour spectrum of the red wines, while green tones dominate on the white wine bottles.
