Tea is one of the most consumed beverages in China and the world. It has a history that spans a thousand years. In China, tea is regarded as the 'national drink'. Unfortunately, tea leaves absorb odour and moisture. It is also delicate and cannot be exposed to sunlight. Vacuum Tank is designed to store tea in its best condition for as long as possible. Tea leaves are usually packed by sealing it to increase its shelf life. Oxidation of the product would result in quality loss. Vacuum Tank, with its material technology and vacuum system, is designed to package and store tea leaves to ensure the tea leaves retains its highest quality for a long time. The storage system can be mass-produced, and the container is made with tin plate, keeping manufacturing costs low and the packaging recyclable. The thick structure of the container ensures that it is not deformed under negative pressure and during transportation. Adhesive edible colour coating is applied inside and outside of the container to ensure it is safe to use. The design of the form is compact and sleek. The ripple design on the top is a reflection of China’s rich tea-drinking history. The container is designed to fit well in the hands of the user and has a resistance to super high negative pressure of 0.98Mpa.
