VDMB’s annual magazine reports on the previous year’s developments in the print and media industry focusing on current topics. In order to reconcile the pandemic crisis with fundamental matters and future issues within the industry a double issue was developed each part being clearly separated from each other in terms of design and having its own title. The key visual was inspired by the Black Swan theory of publicist and stock market expert Nassim Nicholas Taleb. The reports stand out for their ambitious design special paper quality sophisticated printing methods and the use of various finishes and bookbinding techniques.
