Xintangwanke Mall International Cinema

As the making of every film starts with a script, the element of words was taken as a source of inspiration in designing the Xintangwanke Mall International Cinema. Yet, instead of using ordinary Chinese characters, their radicals, the smallest part of a character, were employed. The radicals are presented in a three-dimensional format and are made of metal poles bent into different angles. The assorted shapes, sizes and angles show a great mix of diversity. Contrasting to this, the rest of the interior in dark brown stone exudes a sense of calmness.
