The packaging design of this range of cosmetic products addresses women by communicating trust and intimacy. Youth Lab is, by language and symbol choice, a straightforward reference to a personal laboratory. The retro-futuristic symbol of a lab tube, together with the thin, elongated typeface, speaks of scientific seriousness. The choice of fluorescent colours on rough carton paper suggests calculated boldness and personality. The result is a product that is familiar yet not boring, trustworthy but also linked to research and experimentation.
