The design of these bottles for a Japanese sake visualises the sake’s origin: it is the creation of a microbrewery located in the small country town of Suzuka City in Mie Prefecture. Serving as inspiration is the “Ise-Katagam” stencil pattern for kimonos, which has been manufactured in this town for over 1,000 years. Incorporated on the bottle, this stencil pattern represents the challenge involved in combining tradition and innovation in the production of this sake. Each of the four different flavours is marked by its own colour on the label.
