Red Dot in an interview with Prof. Masayo Ave

Red Dot: How did you get into design?
Prof. Masayo Ave: By being imaginative and curious about the potential of industrial materials in relation to lifestyle culture.

What does the “MasayoAve creation” design studio stand for?
It is a cross-disciplinary platform where design projects and sensory experiences interconnect.

Where do you find inspiration?
Learning the fundamentals of design is to get a comprehensive understanding of one’s own living environment through perceptive senses. The everyday discoveries of tiny details in nature have inspired me a lot.
