Qin Li

Qin Li is vice president of design and partner at the multidisciplinary agency fuseproject, where she is responsible for overseeing industrial design, experience and environment design, visual design and CMF for clients, which include Fortune 500 companies, startups and non-profit organisations. With a strong commitment to human-centred design, Qin Li believes in the transformative power of designers to drive cultural change and address global challenges. Her portfolio includes work in the areas of AI & robotics, health & wellness, wearable tech, consumer electronics, furniture, retail, exhibition and packaging.
Qin Li has received multiple awards for her work. The smart bot “Moxie” that she developed was named one of the 100 Best Inventions of 2020 by TIME Magazine, and her Cionic Neural Sleeve won the Dezeen Design Project of the Year Award 2023. Qin Li is also the 2020 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Academy of Art University.
Qin Li has played significant roles within the design community. She served as chair of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) Board of Directors from 2018 to 2021 and currently holds the position of secretary/treasurer of the IDSA Design Foundation Advisory Board. Qin Li is one of the very few females and Asians to have been awarded the Fellow of IDSA (FIDSA) designation, and she also contributes her expertise on the juries of various international design competitions.
