A Living Space – The Homes of Pak Sha O

This book is created as part of an art project called “A Living Space”, which aims to explore the intrinsic quality and possibility of life through a range of observation, exploration and research. The Chinese title, literally meaning “a liveable house”, is named after a house that artist Suk Ki Wong discovered in Hong Kong and which inspired her to ponder what life is. By depicting life in a traditional Hakka village in Pak Sha O, Sai Kung, Hong Kong, this book raises thought-provoking questions about what is essential for a place to be considered “home” and how a “living space” of one’s own can be created.
